Wiradjuri Elder: Kathleen Towney

Kathleen Towney

To the Shareholders of Barrick Gold:

As a Traditional Owner, I agree with the others that Barrick should not have touched Lake Cowal. Now we cant take the kids out there, and the same with Manna Mountain, we cant take the kids to see the rock hole.

We dont want them to touch Manna Mountain same as out at Lake Cowal.

My Father used to work at Manna Station and he used to have his whole family out there, all us kids, hed take us out to the Lake, swimming and fishing. Its so sad to see the way it is now.

All weve got now is memories. Its all been destroyed by Barrick Gold.
